Musicians Institute SNJ Guitar Scholarships is aimed at supporting the education of international students in the USA  scholarship and application is ongoing for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The scholarship will be granted in 2022 to an intermediate or advanced student in the Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Music in Performance (Guitar) program who exhibits overall outstanding performance as regards music in general, their unique creative voice, and passion for the instrument in the Progressive Rock genre.

Musicians Institute was founded in 1917, is a higher learning institution that provides instrumental performance programs for drums, bass, guitar, keyboard technology, and vocals. It also offers a wide variety of music degrees and areas of concentration in the field of contemporary music.

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The Musicians Institute SNJ Guitar Scholarships will be granted an Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Music in Performance (Guitar) Program offered by the university
  • Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet all the following criteria to be eligible for the award:
  • Available to international students and U.S. citizens.
  • May only be applied to the Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Music in Performance (Guitar) Program.
  • Newly enrolling and currently enrolled/or returning students are eligible.

Application Procedure

 

  • How to Apply for the Musicians Institute SNJ Guitar Scholarships: Scholars can submit their admission applications via the university portal. All scholars that meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship will be considered.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must provide the youtube video URL: YouTube video of you performing three (3) songs in the Progressive Rock genre on the electric or acoustic guitar. It is required that this include two (2) ensemble (live band or duo, or pre-recorded play-along tracks format or looper) performances; and one (1) unaccompanied guitar performance (No play-along tracks will be accepted for the solo piece).
  • Admission Requirements: Awardee must maintain enrollment at 12 units (full-time status) during the entire length of the award period. Failure to maintain enrollment and satisfactory academic progress in the program for the full duration of the scholarship will result in the withdrawal of the award.
  • Language Requirement:  You can generally meet the English Language Proficiency requirements for entry to Musicians Institute.
